About Simuze

Simuze is a platform built for the entire music industry. Not just artists or fans, but everyone. Musicians, bookers, venues, record stores, promoters, labels, screenprinters, sound engineers. The person putting up flyers at 2 AM. They all belong here.

What you can do on Simuze

Simuze brings together the things the music world actually needs, in one place.

Artists upload their music directly and fans can listen, buy, and support them without anything in between. No algorithms deciding what gets heard. No middlemen taking a cut you never agreed to.

Venues find artists. Artists find venues. Bookers connect the dots. Shows get organized without the usual runaround of emails, DMs, and dead ends.

You can create or join groups around your city, your scene, your genre. Follow what is happening locally or on the other side of the world. Scenes grow when people can find each other, and Simuze is built to make that easy.

Music, merch, and tickets are sold directly from artist to fan. Fair pricing, transparent cuts, no surprises.

Where Simuze comes from

Music is not content. It is culture. The people who make it, promote it, book it, print it, and live it deserve tools that respect that.

Simuze was first built in 2005 as a music community rooted in the Creative Commons movement and the belief that sharing music openly is better, socially, culturally, and commercially. It ran for five years in the Netherlands, reached around 100,000 monthly visitors, and organized shows with artists from the platform.

When the hosting support stopped, the costs were too much to carry. Simuze went offline. But the idea never went away.

Now it is back. Rebuilt from scratch, fully independent. No investors, no corporate sponsors, no dependency on anyone's infrastructure. We own the stack, we run the servers, and nobody can pull the plug.

How it works

Simuze is affordable and fair. We take a small, transparent cut on transactions, enough to keep things running. That is it.

Your data is yours. Your music is yours. Your audience is yours. We do not sell ads and we do not sell you.

Who builds this

Simuze is built by musicians, for the music world. It started as a graduation project, became a foundation, grew into a community, and is now being rebuilt with twenty years of lessons learned.

It is a DIY project in the truest sense. Built steadily, step by step, by people who know what it is like to load a van at 4 AM and play to twelve people who actually care.

We are not trying to fight the world. We are building something better next to it.
