Julia Sabaté

The album Egoísta emerged after an impactful experience that challenged her sense of safety and trust, and became a musical search for recovery and autonomy. Rather than describing the moment itself, Egoísta focuses on the aftermath: how you redefine yourself when your boundaries have been shifted. The visuals for the album were filmed in the desert of Tabernas, Spain, a landscape famous for its classic Western films and cinematic vistas. The half Spanish, half Dutch artist grew up with two cultures and found that it has its advantages, but it can also lead to inner conflicts. Who are you, how do you identify yourself, and what values align with you? Ultimately, that balance came naturally when Julia Sabaté began to express her thoughts in Spanish.

Julia Sabaté has already made huge steps in her musical journey. In 2024 she released her first EP ‘CALLADA’. Her songs were added to Spotify playlists like Fresh Finds España, EQUAL España, and New Music Friday NL.

Strengthened by the two musicians Ruben Sieben and Koen Hermans, with whom she writes and produces her songs, she found her home: the stage, wherever in the world it may be. Following standout performances at BIME (Bilbao), Eurosonic Noorderslag 2024 (Netherlands), Mad Cool Festival (Madrid), and support shows for Froukje (Belgium tour), Pukkelpop (Belgium) Julia was honored with a prestigious Talent Award in the Netherlands in 2025.
