Buffalo Tom werd in 1986 opgericht door zanger/gitarist Bill Janovitz, bassist Chris Colbourn en drummer Tom Maginnis. Met hun voeten stevig in de alternative- en underground rock begon het als een van de stevigste bands in de Massachusetts collegerock-scene. Hun titelloze debuutalbum en opvolger Birdbrain werd geproduceerd door Dinosaur Jr. frontman Joseph Mascis, die bovendien op het nummer Impossible ook nog eens meespeelt. Niet zo gek dat ze qua sound vaak door critici dan ook vergeleken worden.

Met inmiddels alweer tien albums op zak heeft Buffalo Tom bewezen dat je prima grungy en vuig kan klinken, en ondertussen uitstekende catchy meezingrefreinen kan schrijven. Bereid je voor op fan favourites als Summer, Taillights Fade en Late At Night.

Grateful Cat is een indiefolk-duo uit Berlijn. Het tweetal combineert de iconische sound van 60s Laurel Canyon en Greenwich Village met aanstekelijke 90s indie. Denk aan warme melodieën, zonnige akkoorden en harmonieuze zang.

Buffalo Tom was formed in 1986 by singer/guitarist Bill Janovitz, bassist Chris Colbourn, and drummer Tom Maginnis. Firmly rooted in alternative and underground rock, the band quickly became one of the most powerful acts in the Massachusetts college rock scene. Their self-titled debut album and its follow-up Birdbrain were produced by Dinosaur Jr. frontman J. Mascis, who also played on the track “Impossible.” It’s no surprise, then, that critics have often compared their sound.

Now ten albums into their career, Buffalo Tom have proven that you can sound gritty and grungy while still writing outstanding, catchy singalong choruses. Expect fan favorites like Summer, Taillights Fade, and Late At Night.
