An event featuring two multimedia projects. Teller & Sutherland spent a week working in the WORM Sound Studio, including creating a radio piece for Radio WORM and further developing a project they started several years ago. We have had Teller in the WORM Sound Studio before, and it was an unmitigated pleasure; he collaborated with a variety of local musicians and artists back then, which yielded wonderful results, so expectations are high.
Bruinsma & Shalem -SpOp- present new work; almost everything they do interests us, and certainly this time, a hybrid work featuring almost everything, but also a little something else.

Jørgen Teller & David Sutherland

Teller & Sutherland colaborate in WORM (from 28/9) on new synth- and strings-based works for their first duo concert and release. Also they highlight a special audio-session based on a vinyl record, from "A Day in Algonquin Park" some sounds that existed 50 years ago and 6000 km away from Rotterdam. Their colaboration has its roots in two co-writing sessions in Toronto with Static Teller & NYAWB in 2022 and 2025. As this trio – with Paul Stillwell – they have one release on Bandcamp. The next one – recorded summer 2025 – will be released end of 2026.

**Cymph by Marit Shalem -SpOp- & Dirk Bruinsma **
Cymph is the new audiovisual project by duo SpOp&Bruinsma. The title Cymph refers to the film genre ‘City-Symphonies,’ in which a day in the life of a specific city is portrayed. As a variation on this idea, with Cymph we offer a live collage from various cities, focusing on working-class neighbourhoods and repetitive and functional architecture. Images and sound recordings are combined live into a kaleidoscopic whole that encompasses the atmosphere of these locations and their inhabitants in multiple ways.
Expect Cymph to be a performance featuring an improvised composition that draws connections between fragmentation and fluidity, structures and textures alongside text fragments, interstitial spaces, skies, reflections, pests, transparencies, playful lighting, monumentality and decay, and not to forget: the human being as an inhabitant within and between them. All this in 30-40 minutes of audiovisual, capricious harmony.

Een evenement met twee multi mediale projecten, Teller & Sutherland hebben een week in de WORM Studio gewerkt, met oa. het maken van een radiostuk voor Worm radio, en het verder ontwikkelen van een project waar ze enige jaren geleden aan begonnen zijn. we hebben Teller al eerder in de WORM studio gehad en dat was een onverdeeld genoegen, hij heeft toen samengewerkt met een keur aan lokale muzikanten & kunstenaars en dat leverde prachtige resultaten op, de verwachtingen zijn dus hoog.
Bruinsma & Shalem -SpOp- komen met nieuw werk, bijna alles wat ze doen interesseert ons, en zeker deze keer, een hybride werk met bijna van alles maar ook nog wat nog wat.

Als variatie op dit idee bieden we met Cymph een live collage vanuit verschillende steden met de focus op arbeiderswijken en repetetieve en functionele architectuur. Beelden en geluidsopnames worden live gecombineerd tot een kaleidoscopisch geheel dat de sfeer van deze locaties en hun bewoners in een veelvoud omvat.
Verwacht van Cymph een performance met een geïmproviseerde compositie dat de dwarsverbanden legt tussen fragmentatie en fluïditeit, structuren en texturen naast tekstfragmenten, tussenruimtes, luchten, reflecties, ongedierte, transparanties, speelse lichtval, monumentaliteit en verval en niet te vergeten: de mens als bewoner daar in en tussen. Dit allemaal in een 30-40 minuten van audiovisuele wispelturige harmonie.
