These communities have truly shaped Maastricht’s underground scene. From driving cultural activism, bringing international inspiration to funding vital water projects. Together, they embody the raw spirit, diversity, and creativity of the city’s nightlife.

Koudvuur

As a community-first platform, Koudvuur creates a realm of pure escapism a place to connect, dance and express yourself, surrounded by basslines, sweat and smoke. Their dancefloor ritual celebrates everything electronic: from forward-thinking techno and electro to underground breakbeat and bass music. Driven by a love for the ever-evolving landscape of contemporary electronics, Koudvuur continues to explore identity and sound, bringing an authentic Southern-Dutch edge to the floor.

Love Foundation

Love Foundation Maastricht, a family of volunteers & artists. We passionately organize events, to bring people together, create environments to dance and connect, while raising money for water development projects. Love hubs are spread out around the world, but the organization has its roots in Maastricht, where we continue to spread love.

Smokeshed

Smoke Shed Crew is an electronic music collective drawn to underground sounds, unusual spaces and the energy that forms between people. Its music moves between minimal and hypnotic sounds and faster, more driving styles such as hardgroove and breakbeat, creating a contrast between different sides of electronic music.

Originally formed around the underground scene in Maastricht, the collective has since expanded to Latvia, creating a cross-cultural exchange between artists, scenes and audiences in both countries. Its events can take place almost anywhere, from intimate venues and cultural centres to caves and forgotten spaces, with each location becoming part of the experience.
